Since childhood, Olivia had been unusually serious. While her classmates decorated their notebooks with stickers, she eagerly read books about space. On her desk stood a large star globe, and the shelves were filled with encyclopedias and bright posters of galaxies that she and her mother found in magazines and hung on the walls.
But her greatest treasure was a gift from her parents — a telescope. Every clear night, Olivia would sit by the window and gaze for a long time into the endless starry sky.
