The Girl and the Lost Dragon

Once upon a time, there lived a kind and brave girl named Emily. She often went to visit her grandmother, who lived right at the edge of the forest.

Emily loved walking in the woods: picking berries, listening to the birds, and rustling the fallen leaves. To her, the forest felt kind and a little bit mysterious—as if it were guarding something important but was in no hurry to reveal its secrets.

One morning, Emily took her basket and headed into the forest. At first, she followed the familiar paths, but then she wandered a bit further, just past the bend. There were so many berries that she didn't notice right away that she had lost her way.

The forest grew very still. It was as if both the birds and the wind had decided to fall silent. Emily stopped among the trees and listened. Everything was motionless.

And suddenly — a rustle. Very close by. She froze. Someone round, with big, shiny eyes, peeked out from the bushes...
